BATAC® JIG
The BATAC Jig is a high-efficiency density separation unit widely used for upgrading coal, minerals, sand, gravel, and for metal recovery from slags. It operates using controlled water pulsation generated by air chambers beneath the jig bed. These chambers receive intermittent bursts of compressed air from an electronically regulated pulse generator, creating the upward and downward water currents required for stratification.
Make-up water is added at each chamber to enhance the upward pulse and stabilise the downward stroke. As material passes through the jig, it stratifies according to density, enabling the separation of clean product, middlings, and refuse. Heavy product layers are monitored by floats that regulate automated discharge gates. For wider jigs, each section includes independent sensors and hydraulic discharge units, ensuring consistent product quality across the full width—even under uneven feed distribution. discharge paddle wheel.
