The PERMOS MIMS (Medium-Intensity Magnetic Separator) is a permanent-magnet drum separator designed for the continuous recovery of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic minerals with medium susceptibility. Operating at magnetic field intensities up to 5,000 Gauss on the drum surface (page 3), the PERMOS delivers high-throughput separation in both wet and dry applications. Its simple, robust design eliminates the need for electrical energizing of coils, resulting in low energy consumption and minimal maintenance requirements. Typical applications include iron ore upgrading, removal of weakly magnetic contaminants, and cleaning of industrial minerals.
